With the new academic year upon us, students will have received copies of their letters of accommodations for Fall 2019 and Fall 1 courses. If you haven’t already, please check your Webster email for these notifications. Emails are sent to students from email@example.com.
Students, as you see your letter come through, please reach out to your instructors to discuss how your accommodations will be implemented in your classes. You are welcome to reach out to Nellie Hopmann, Academic ADA Coordinator, for support in facilitating communication. Hopmann can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com, or 314-246-7700.
Over the summer, Hopmann has been busy recording podcasts geared toward supporting the needs of students with disabilities. The first podcast in the series is available through Sound Cloud and can be found here. Listen to hear more about what students with disabilities can do to be better self-advocates. Stay tuned for another podcast focused on the accommodations process—specifically, how students can set up accommodations and what faculty can do to support students in the process.
